One of our existing clients requested we took their existing ecommerce solution and blog, and made it responsive so it would function correctly on mobiles and tablets. The original Magento ecommerce store had a fixed width, and used compressed contextual imagery which did not translate well to mobiles or any device with a retina display. It is however, very clean so we wanted to make sure the mobile version reflected that, and that the main focus was on the products.

We've just launched a new Magento extension for one of our clients. After we launched their site last year they've seen a great increase in traffic and had a large number of enquires from users who wanted to have their quality products customised, so they came to Develo Design to help build their vision of a custom product designer for their Magento store that could deliver both an enjoyable experience to the customers and a seamless integration into their Magento website. We set out with a plan to build this tool and assisted with their design for the user interface we developed the extension to exceed amongst others the following goals.
I recently passed my Magento certified developer exam after studying for it on and off for the best part of a year. I've done other developer certification programs like Zend certified PHP5 engineer in the past but I found this one of the most challenging. Having just looked through the Magento certified developer directory I believe I'm the first in Birmingham to have passed this exam!
I was the first developer at Develo Design to study for and take this exam, Paul will be up next, I'll try and help him prepare but It's the kind of exam where you really need to just get stuck in, there's no magic study guide to prepare you correctly, I'd say just make sure you cover all the material thourghly, then go through it again, then once more for good measure, you'll know you're ready as you begin to dream about base EAV resource setup classes.
