The Project
Beatbox Music represents one of the largest collections of production music in Australia with over 600,000 tracks. They needed a new online solution that would allow their users to access their music with the familiarity of their previous hard-drive software, with the accessibility of the web.
What We Did
Using Laravel for this backend application we were able to quickly scaffold features and leverage existing well used and tested packages. We then developed custom functionality that made managing a site of this size as streamlined as possible.
The frontend application was built in VueJs and allows the end-user to quickly browse through over 600,000 tracks using advanced search and filtering, sharable projects and playlists.
The Results
Moving away from a SaaS based solution allowed the client to have complete control over their site and features.
Beatbox is now more accessible to new and existing users without the restrictions of their older hard-drive based solution. This eradicated the need for timely software updates which used to require new drives being manually posted out. Users can now access the full library and new releases anywhere on any device.
