Local SEO has grown significantly over the past few years. The improvements made in technology that allows us to stay better connected means we have moved away from using Google to search for answers to using Google to demand answers. I don’t want to have to click through to a website to find out where the business is located, I want to know before I go to their website and Google knows this.
The stats back this up. In 2013, Fresh Egg reported that four out of five people used their smartphone to look up local information. in 2014, Google found that 95% of mobile users look up local information on their phone with the intention of calling or visiting a business.
Businesses are finding more and more that having a web presence is no longer enough, to remain relevant you need to show users where you’re located.
