The Project

Pure Theatre is a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art home cinema systems, but they faced numerous issues with their previous Magento 2 theme, including constant errors and bugs. To address these challenges they required an upgrade to their eCommerce platform. The Develo team was tasked with integrating the Hyvä theme, with a specific focus on enhancing speed, performance, and user engagement.

What we did

We implemented a range of upgrades to Pure Theatre's front-end infrastructure as part of their migration. These included a custom VAT toggle to provide users with price display preferences, enhanced product page navigation, and a geo-location popup to ensure users were directed to the best store. Additionally, the team implemented page speed-efficient modules for CMS images, YouTube embeds, and more, as well as mobile menu enhancements and dynamic widget updates for Trust Pilot reviews. Together, these improvements optimised the site's performance, making it easier for users to navigate and engage with the brand.


As Develo Design had worked on several other Hyvä projects, we entrusted them to integrate this onto our existing Magento website. We were impressed with their knowledge of the Hyvä theme and their efficiency in implementing it. Communication was great throughout the process, and we are happy with the outcome and the impact this has had on our site speed.

The Results

The Hyvä migration resulted in significant improvements to Pure Theatre's online storefront. Notably, the site's speed and user experience improved notably with the efficient loading of page elements and media reducing bounce rates. The migration also contributed to better SEO and accessibility, with higher Lighthouse scores passing Core Web Vitals. Additionally, the seamless multi-store experience catered to the for the international customer base and received positive feedback on the user interface and navigation
