Lubricant Supplies - M2 Hyvä Migration Case Study

The Project

Lubricants supplies had an existing Magento 1 website that was performing well with sales and SEO. They needed to migrate to Magento 2, whilst ensuring their current SEO performance was maintained. They also required some additional features to improve their quoting process and they needed a full redesign of the look and feel.

What we did

The site was built on the new Magento Hyvä Theme which provided a better developer experience and more performance frontend store that scores an impressive ‘100’ on all lighthouse metrics.

To avoid any performance issues with their SEO, we kept all existing product and category structures the same and redirected all URLs. 

 All store data for products, categories, customers and orders were migrated providing a seamless transfer for their customers. 

The Results

Lubricant Supplies received their best sales within the first two months of their site being launched. We achieved a score of 100 on all Google Lighthouse Metrics for; SEO, performance, accessibility and standards ensuring the site was of the highest quality for our client and their customers. 

Improving navigation features on the site eased accessibility for customers. The 'request a quote' feature on the homepage increased customer enquiries to their site, along with a faster and more accurate search capability with FactFinder.
