Magento & Hyvä Performance Optimisation for Core Web Vitals

Cost Cutters UK partnered with Develo following a Hyvä Themes migration completed by a previous agency. The client had been experiencing Core Web Vitals issues alongside an unreliable QA and deployment process, leading to frequent post-release fixes. From there, we quickly put a focused plan in place to stabilise the build and ensure they could realise the full benefits of Hyvä.

We carried out a range of performance and stability improvements across the site, focusing on Core Web Vitals, frontend optimisation, and deployment reliability. These updates were rolled out across multiple releases alongside improved QAT and UAT processes to help ensure smoother deployments and minimise post-release issues.

Alongside the Core Web Vitals and frontend optimisation work, we also introduced CRO enhancements to support customer confidence, including integrating PayPal's Pay in 3 option. This helped reduce price hesitation by building trust at the point of purchase, enabling faster decision-making and a smoother journey from product view to checkout without users needing to leave the product page.

As a result of the work across frontend optimisation and deployment processes, the site now passes Core Web Vitals across both desktop and mobile, delivering a noticeably stronger and more stable experience, alongside improved visibility in organic search.
